My Name is Hasa Sina, I am a singer-songwriter from Syria. I came here about four years ago after all my family had fled the country and the atmosphere towards independent artists became more and more hostile. The economic situation was dire with no perspective for my kiand my art.

As most of my songs are in Arabic, its sometimes difficult to interest people here in Germany or the UK in my content. Also, because I have two children 8 and 11 years old, I can’t work full time. My concerts are full, but it is increasingly difficult to raise a crowd, my impression is that Germans don’t want to hear about the war and crisis any more.

DNart has started to help me with some difficulties with the Job Center, translated the text of my favorite and most successful song into German and linked me with Event-Organizers and other artists, German and International. Everybody has the same problems, it seems. My aim is to become less dependent on state support
